Q: What are we currently working on with our volunteers?
Since 2021, we are diligently working on our setup as an inclusive, transparent and democratic association. Our main priority was to use technology to enhance cooperation of our members. With the help of donors, sponsors and partners, we developed the Intranet Management System (IMS). The system is currently being used on a daily basis, by our volunteers, managers and directors who are located worldwide. Together they work on continuing the setup of the digital/management infrastructure.
But also on a variety of projects aimed at supporting our membership, such as THEDIVEPROFESSIONAL.ORG, or our environmental arm GOBLU3, currently being tested on the ground in Sudan's Red Sea, with #OPREDSEA.
"VIS UNITA FORTIOR - STRENGTH UNITED IS STRONGER"
THEDIVEPROFESSIONAL.ORG
Our popular public portal, is our second online system; currently being redeveloped with the intent to extend information about our trade to the general public. But also will provide a home for our professional members, where they can connect, communicate with peers and likeminded individuals.
But also where serious divers, can connect with true career professionals; that are just a bit better than the rest of the pack.
We are expecting to relaunch in BETA mode, mid summer 2022, priority will be given to our group members on our different social media channels.
Make sure to join our groups, in the meantime to receive an invite to the BETA. If you are on Linkedin Click Here. Use Facebook? Then click here to join our FB Group
Turning back to the sea means getting more people excited about what our coastal regions have to offer, and growing a new generation of innovative coastal and marine businesses.
GOBLU3 puts people in control so they can shape local priorities, value their greatest assets, and vitalize their shorelines.
"Somewhere along the way, we lost something very important. Our belief in the Sea, as a source of prosperity."
Without the necessary support, communities and businesses are struggling to make the most of their Sea's abundant potential, for cleaner energy, food and energy. And without the appropriate resources, local authorities are discouraged from innovating in more sustainable ways to protect homes and businesses from climate change. Healthier and more productive seas can be an engine for more and better jobs in the future.
Focusing on these priorities, through innovation and greater investment in building expertise and capacity in our coastal communities, has the potential to support additional jobs, and address food shortages.
