IMS – Intranet Management System

The internal management framework supporting IADP governance, administration, transparency, records, volunteers, and operational continuity.

IMS V6 stands for Intranet Management System. It is being developed as the internal digital working environment of the IADP, helping keep governance, cooperation, volunteer coordination, and internal operations structured, transparent, multilingual, and workable across borders.

Where TDP serves as the member-facing platform, IMS V6 serves as the internal operational backbone of the association.

Internal Operations

What IMS V6 is

IMS V6 is not a public-facing website. It is the internal management environment being built to support the practical day-to-day functioning of the IADP as an independent professional organization.

The system builds on an earlier internal architecture and is being upgraded into a more structured, scalable, and secure environment. The objective is to move away from legacy limitations and fragmented tools toward a coherent operational framework.

It is designed to support governance, administration, project coordination, and structured cooperation across borders, time zones, and languages.

Why It Is Needed

Replacing fragmented internal processes

The IADP is international by nature. Its work depends on cooperation between volunteers, contributors, board members, committees, and project participants spread across different countries and language groups.

That kind of structure cannot rely indefinitely on scattered emails, ad hoc chats, and inconsistent follow-up. IMS V6 helps create continuity, transparency, and traceability in the internal work of the association.

It also helps keep governance costs low by reducing duplication, limiting administrative inefficiency, and making international coordination more practical without building a heavy bureaucracy.

Core Functions and Operational Value

IMS V6 is designed to support the internal mechanics of the association: governance, coordination, reporting, document access, project follow-up, and transparent cooperation.

Development Focus

Building the internal backbone

The development focus of IMS V6 is practical: internal governance tools, workflow structure, volunteer coordination, committee cooperation, multilingual communication, project follow-up, and controlled access to shared resources.

It is also intended to connect with TDP and the wider IADP operational structure, making sure that member-facing services and internal governance are not disconnected from each other.

This matters because the IADP cannot credibly represent the profession externally if its internal structure is weak, scattered, or dependent on improvised communication.

Professional Impact

How IMS V6 strengthens the profession

A serious professional body needs more than public communication and good intentions. It needs internal systems that allow it to function with discipline, continuity, and transparency. IMS V6 is part of building that institutional backbone.

Better internal organization leads to better governance, stronger project delivery, clearer accountability, improved member support, and greater credibility.

In practical terms, IMS V6 helps the IADP develop into a more durable, efficient, and globally connected organization capable of supporting members and projects without drifting into administrative disorder.

Looking Ahead

Transparent, affordable, international coordination

IMS V6 is part of building an IADP that can operate internationally, transparently, and with real continuity. It supports a volunteer-driven structure while keeping governance practical, visible, and affordable as the organization expands.

Together with IADP v5 and TDP, IMS V6 helps turn the association into a working professional structure rather than a loose network of intentions.
